Super Awesome Side Note: Before we start, understand we will not claim contested truths. And we will refrain from falling into the trap of “teaching man-made ideas as commands from the Creator.”

Out of respect for believers, we will simply acknowledge the multiplicity of views on this subject (the keyword is “acknowledge” and not agree). That said, this is a non-exhaustive list. So use this list to do further research.

Super Psst… the big secret I’ve been hinting around about on social media for a few months now has finally been revealed… (its also why I have been MIA for a bit… ) Read on after this post for the juicy details.

*Disclaimer: These ideas can only help you if you use self-control. And these tips could help you if you are a believer in Christ. Also, always do further research. TL:DR A quick post glance:

  1. What is a blessing? Like, really?
  2. You shall not lack (aka No Lack) blessing
  3. Receiving the desires of your heart blessing
  4. Doors are opened (aka Opportunities for Provision) blessing

Sound super cool? Okay, ladies, let’s start!

1. What is a blessing? Like, really?

blessingSo what is a blessing? According to Strong’s Concordance, the word for blessing is “makarios.” This word describes a believer who is in an enviable and fortunate position, receiving God’s provisions and benefits.

It is closely associated with faith, as receiving and obeying the Lord’s teachings leads to being blessed. The word “makarios” derives from “mak-“, which means to become long or large, showing that believers experience God’s abundant grace and favor through His blessings.

Now that we have blessings defined, let’s explore how you can identify them in your life.

2. You shall not lack blessing

 Blessing

Not experiencing lack is truly a blessing, and you can discern if you are receiving our Creator’s “you shall not lack blessing” by examining your basic needs. The sight of a well-stocked pantry, the sound of rain on a sturdy roof over your head, the smell of clean clothes, and the feeling of quenching your thirst with fresh water all show that you are being blessed with this “non-lack” blessing by the Creator.

That being said, have you heard the comforting words, “The Lord is my Shepherd; I shall not lack”? Or perhaps you are familiar with the verse that says, “I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread?” If so, then you understand the significance of believers not lacking. These scriptures affirm that our Heavenly Father’s abundant blessings can be found in the fulfillment of our basic provisions.

3. Receiving the desires of your heart blessing

blessing

By observing the desires of your heart, you can find out if you are indeed receiving the blessings your heart yearns for.

The scriptures affirm that those who align their thoughts with the will of the Creator will be granted this divine favor. In the ancient times, a prevailing belief held that thoughts originated from the heart rather than the brain. The sight of individuals pondering, their hands gently placed on their chests, as if seeking wisdom from within, was commonplace. Therefore, when the desires of your heart and the thoughts in your mind (aka heart) harmonize with God’s will, that divine alignment illuminates your path, casting a warm and comforting light, guiding you to see the abundant blessings that await.

That said, the scriptures also allude to finding delight in the LORD, a practice believed to lead to the fulfillment of one’s deepest desires. This text underscores the profound relationship between seeking God and experiencing blessings that satisfy your longings.

4. Doors are opened blessing

 blessing

Through fervent prayer and unwavering faith, you can discern if you are receiving the abundant “open doors” aka opportunities blessings.

That being said, the timeless wisdom of biblical teachings urges you to earnestly ask, diligently seek, and persistently knock, while reminding you that even the tiniest flicker of faith, akin to a minuscule mustard seed, has the power to move mountains. This results in “open doors” aka the opportunities blessing. By remaining attuned to these divine promises and taking purposeful action, the sight of these “open door” blessings materializing, becomes undeniable.
