1. Be sexually pure

I like to get to the point. Do not have sex with your boyfriend, because he did not marry you yet. By the way, blowing off the reality of the consequences of performing this act (outside of marriage) could cause you to be bound by soul ties and curses.

So, if you are acting according to the world’s distorted and destructive ways of non-purity, your actions could destroy your life. And it will destroy your eternal life, which is much longer.

Have you heard that everyone who is sexually immoral or impure, or who is covetous (that is, an idolater), has no inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God?

Being disobedient to our Creator is not cute. Shannon Ethridge, from her book called Every Young Woman’s Battle says, “ignorance is not a spiritual gift, nor a virtue.” With that said, do your best to stay pure.

If you have already fallen into sin, there is forgiveness, but you must first repent to our Heavenly Father. That said, being sexually pure puts you one step closer to your dream courtship… but don’t take my word for it… research this matter for yourself.

2. Focus on building your relationship with our Creator

Focus on building your relationship with our Creator. This may sound counterproductive to the title of this post, but it is not.

Only our Heavenly Father can give you the desire of your heart. And your desire is a magnificent courtship with your beau.

Have you heard to delight yourself in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart? Or, commit your way to the LORD; trust in Him, and He will act? Well, that my friend, is a way to getting your dream courtship with your boyfriend.

A quick word of caution. You are the Bride of Christ (AKA the bride of Yeshua the Messiah). So, you must keep your desires pure.

3. Be grateful

Be grateful for all acts of love and friendship you receive from your boyfriend. This brings out the best in your man, thus giving you a chance to experience your dream courtship.

If Christ is building your relationship, then you must be humble and grateful. Since your boyfriend is made in our Creator’s image, then he might love a humble lady.

Have you heard to humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he will lift you up? Or, God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble? If not, now you know it’s important to be humble not prideful.

With that said, since you are humble and grateful to our Creator. You can also be thankful to your sweetheart by saying thank you when he does something nice for you.

4. Go Slowly

Focus on moving slow during your courtship. The reason for moving slowly is for you to safeguard your heart. This is how you discern if your relationship is the one – aka the one you dreamed about forever.

Have you heard to keep your heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life? If not, now you know you must protect your heart.

So, pray and wait for our Heavenly Father to give you wisdom about your courtship. He will show you how to proceed in your relationship with your suitor.

5. Grow in Friendship

You must grow in friendship. This is only a friendly reminder… your beauty will fade. You need more than outer beauty for a long-lasting pure relationship, if your goal is marriage.

Have you heard, that a man that has friends must show himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticks closer than a brother? Or, charm is deceitful and beauty is fleeting, but a woman who fears the LORD will be praised? If not, now you know you gotta rely on more than your beauty.

With that said, you must crush vanity and focus on the friendship part of your relationship. So, it can blossom into the courtship of your dreams.
