Thieves and you. Yes, you! – See this | AWAYION BEAUTY

Hi, Friends!

Thieves, yes, you have encountered them — or you are one (I hope not).

Do you have thieves in every facet of society? Yes. How do I know? Well, it is written our ancient adversary (aka The Devil) came to “… kill, steal, and destroy.” That said, wicked people (thieves) do not believe he exists — despite the overwhelming evidence to the contrary.

At that, vast amounts of cautionary tales on thieves exist — in the Bible alone — yet wicked people feign ignorance and become thieves. Gnarly, eh?

So how do you counter a thief?

In this post, discover 2 hidden thieves in life and how to counter. Because every girl in Christ should be as wise as a serpent.

Super Awesome Side Note: Before we start, understand we will not claim contested truths. And we will refrain from falling into the trap of “teaching man-made ideas as commands from the Creator.”

Out of respect for believers, we will simply acknowledge the multiplicity of views on this subject (the keyword is “acknowledge” and not agree). So, always do further research.

Super Psst… the big secret I’ve been hinting around on social media for a few months now – is revealed… (it’s why I have been MIA for a bit…). Read on after this post for the juicy details.

*Disclaimer: These tips could be helpful. Especially if you are a believer in Christ. Always do further research. The sources for this or any post do not equal a full endorsement of any ministry or evangelist’s personal views by Awayion.com.***

TL:DR A quick post glance:

  1. Time Thieves
  2. Work Thieves

Sound juicy? Okay, Ladies. Let’s start.

1. Time Thieves

Thieves

Time thieves are some of the worst thieves you’ll meet in life. Why? Subtlety. If you are not vigilant, you will not realize you are being robbed.

Ladies this can affect you in love relationships. I need not wax poetic on how a guy can waste your time. So, let me keep it simple. If a godly man wants to marry you, you will know upfront — otherwise YOU are letting him waste your time.

Another “time thief” is social media. Ask yourself how many people you led to Christ in person — while wasting time on social media (the keywords are “in person”)? None? Is the Kingdom of God (YHWH) and His righteousness a priority of yours? Be honest with yourself. You alone will give an account of your life to Christ when you meet Him.

That said, how do you counter “time thieves?” Begin by knowing what our Heavenly Father wants you to do in life, then actively work towards that goal.

Research Ephesians 5:15-17, Hebrews 12:1-2, Proverbs 10:17

2. Work Thieves

Work thieves are horrible and sometimes unrecognizable at first. These thieves steal the “fruit” of your blood, sweat, and tears (aka your hard work). Chances are you have worked hard on a project. Only to have a “thief” take all credit — despite their work contribution equalling zero, zilch, or nada. Or worse, not pay you for your hard work.

That said, I have a cautionary real-life story for you. I encountered a Korean man (CEO) whom I helped with localization of his products, office safety compliance via English-language translation, plus more. A lot of work, eh? To which he agreed to pay me.

Yet, when it came time for him to “ante-up” — he spewed a waterfall of excuses. They range from but are not limited to; “I will pay you, soon.” “I will take you to the best restaurant.” “I want to date you/marry you.” The last excuse being his intent the whole time. To date he has not paid me in 5 years — and I have bigger fish to fry. The moral of this story — let no one steal your work and not pay you for it (ask for payment upfront *wink*).

Moving right along…

Some (not all) guys in pastoral leadership have a bad habit of overworking believers in God’s church under the guise of, “God is going to pay you for your hard work.” Meanwhile, they are collecting a salary and not paying you. That said, be careful ladies. Volunteer work should not be equal to full-time living wage work. Please understand I am talking about “abuse” via overworking and not voluntary work in general.

To counter a “work thief” let no one steal your hard work and/or not pay you for it. Easier said than done, eh?

Research Leviticus 19:13, Proverbs 10:10
