You don’t feel worthy? Fix that — See this | AWAYION BEAUTY

Hi, Friends!

Ever felt worthy — then doubt your worth — even though you know you are valuable? Awful thoughts, eh?

So what can you do?

In this post, discover why you feel unworthy and a way to feel worthy now. Because every girl in Christ should know, she is worthy in Christ.

Super Awesome Side Note: Before we start, understand we will not claim contested truths. And we will refrain from falling into the trap of “teaching man-made ideas as commands from the Creator.”

Out of respect for believers, we will simply acknowledge the multiplicity of views on this subject (the keyword is “acknowledge” and not agree). That said, this is a non-exhaustive list. So use this list to do further research.

Super Psst… the big secret I’ve been hinting around on social media for a few months now – is revealed… (it’s why I have been MIA for a bit…). Read on after this post for the juicy details.

*Disclaimer: These tips could be helpful. Especially if you are a believer in Christ. Always do further research. The sources for this or any post do not equal a full endorsement of any ministry or evangelist’s personal views by Awayion.com.***

TL: DR A quick post glance:

  1. Your worth defined
  2. Why you don’t feel worthy
  3. A solution

Sound juicy? Okay, Ladies. Let’s start!

1. Being worthy defined

According to Lexico.com, the secular definition of being worthy is having or showing the qualities or abilities that merit recognition in a specified way. Deserving effort, attention, or respect. Good enough; suitable. Vague definitions of being worthy, eh? (Psst… meaning no actionable items)

That said, the Living Word regards you as worthy if you believe our Creator, which includes doing what He says. And yes, you read that right. Your worthiness in the eyes of our Heavenly Father is straightforward. Now, this seems like an actionable definition of being worthy, eh?

Even greater, your worth in Christ has promises — such as your being “counted worthy to escape all these things.” This phrase can refer to the period during the Tribulation. And to your escaping all the trials and tribulations of your daily life. In a general sense, this phrase applies any time crises and troubles spring up and try to distract you from seeking first the Kingdom of God (Are You Worthy to Escape?, 2000).

Now we have our Living Word definition of your worthiness — let’s explore why you may not feel worthy.

2. Why you don’t feel worthy

worthy

Now you know definitions about being worthy. It is time for you to know why you don’t feel worthy. This topic is broad — so for the sake of time — let’s look at 3 major areas that encourage destructive self-worth thoughts.

First is idolatry. I need not tell you the gritty details of how widespread idolatry is today. Just know it’s so awful — people mimic idols instead of doing what our Creator says. That said, you torch your thoughts of self-worth when you dabble in idolatry — of which is sinful. This sinful act puts you in the unproductive position of comparing yourself to whom you idolize — which is dumb.

At that, you can fix your unworthy thoughts — caused by being idolatrous — by repenting (aka Metanoia).

Second is being a doormat. Nothing crushes your self-worth more than allowing others to mistreat you or define you as worthless. That said, I wrote an entire post about overcoming this issue. So I won’t go into further details here. If you are a victim – see this.

Third is poor reading comprehension of the Living Word. A poor command of the Living Word encourages destructive self-worth thoughts. That said, it might surprise you to discover the high level of functional illiteracy among Believers.

At that, learn how to study the closest translated version of the authentic Living Word — to grasp the knowledge of your worth in Christ. You cannot expect to do this well, if you cannot read — or people have quoted mistranslations to you, or… ah let me pause here (wink*).

3. A solution

worthy

Now you know why you don’t feel worthy. Discover a way to feel worthy now.

For starters, if you are in Christ you can feel worthy now. Begin by reminding yourself that if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with your heart you believe and are justified, and with your mouth you confess and are saved.

At that, you can start feeling worthy now, because you know our Heavenly Father qualifies you for your eternal inheritance (something you cannot earn on your own). This worthiness is a gift of God, and based on your overcoming by His power and your faith (Quinn, 2016). Yes, you read that right — you are worthy enough to receive a massive gift (aka justification) from our Creator.

That said, reread this post and meditate on your worth in Christ — that should jumpstart you to feeling worthy now.
