1. Spiritual warfare is…?

For starters, spiritual warfare is waging supernatural warfare against spiritual powers and the schemes of the devil (Ephesians 6:10–18).

The act is requires a balance of knowing the spiritual realm via study of the Living Word — as well as erudition of proper application. Failure to comprehend effective spiritual warfare techniques results in untold negative consequences.

That said, ladies, you are the enemy’s biggest targets — because of your potential to be easily swayed. You don’t have to take my word for it — research Eve in the book of Genesis.

Now that you know what spiritual warfare is — you need someone to help you be successful via application. To your advantage, The Father gave you special helpers to aid you in the dangerous task called spiritual warfare. At that, let’s take a peak at the special helpers.

For starters, no husband? Then, who is numero uno for helping a lady wage effective spiritual warfare? His name is Yeshua Ha’Mashiach (AKA Jesus Christ of Nazareth). He will grant that the enemies who rise against you will be defeated before you. 

Fancy, huh?

Married or not, above a man’s authority is Christ Himself. Via His sacrifice, He gave to you the power to overcome the schemes of the enemy. Even greater, Messiah Yeshua is the embodiment of The Word — a vital part (the sword of the spirit) of the full armor of God. So dive into The Word to gain deeper knowledge of your “help” via our Messiah.

Oh yeah, Yeshua gave everyone who “walks the narrow path”, the Holy Spirit, as a helper.

Moving right along… who else can help a lady wage effective spiritual warfare? Guess who. If you said your husband — aka your man, aka your hubby — then you are 100% correct.

Ladies, we need delicate attention from men — for our Creator made us the weaker sex. At that, our Heavenly Father placed men above women in the role of authority. Wives must submit to your husbands’ leadership in the same way you submit to The LORD. For a husband is in charge of his wife in the same way Christ is in charge of his body, the Church. That said, wives should be subject to their husbands, not from dread and amazement, but from desire to do well, and please God (Henry, 2021). 

Now we have the role of authority established. Men are to defend their wives by waging spiritual warfare over their entire household. It is the man’s responsibility to protect and provide for his wife. So, his job is to mimic Christ’s love for the Church — by being sacrificial — toward his wife.

Now ladies, this does not imply you lack spiritual warfare responsibility (aka praying) for your husband. Nor does it imply you are exempt from warring against evil that affects your mind. This only implies that your husband has the authority to aid you in spiritual warfare — granted, you did not goof up and marry a fool.

So how can spiritual warfare go wrong? For starters, as stated above, failure to comprehend effective spiritual warfare techniques results in untold negative consequences.

Speaking of negative consequences, have you read about the sons of Sceva found in Acts 19:14-16? If not, let me fill you in about them. They tried to engage a man who was demonically possessed — via their limited knowledge and application of spiritual warfare. That said, “the man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them, and overcame them, and prevailed against them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded” (Acts 19:16).

You read that correctly. The sons of Sceva were beat up and striped buck naked — by the man in whom the evil spirit was. That said, you must study scriptures and ask our Heavenly Father for understanding about waging effective spiritual warfare — then actively apply the knowledge. Less, you end up as the sons of Sceva.
