Want Real Beauty? Focus on this Powerful Wisdom | AWAYION BEAUTY

Hi, Friends!

What comes to mind when you think about your real beauty? Do you think about inner beauty?

Do sudden thoughts of compromise or peace come to mind? If you are thinking spiritually about your real beauty then you are on the right track. Because you are looking at your inner beauty.

But, if you are thinking negatively about your beauty, then now is the time to change.

In this post, our guest writer Evangelist Molly A. Polly (formally @2ShallBe1Flesh) helps you focus on the righteous woman’s real inner beauty. This wisdom could save you from poor thinking habits and from focusing only on outer beauty.

Inner Beauty Thoughts Expressed

If Christian women were polled and asked to reference a Bible scripture relating to “inner beauty,” the Proverbs 31 woman would most likely be the go-to response. There are very few verses that single out women specifically.

Most scripture references about “inner beauty” are generally for all humans as the Holy Spirit is not favorable towards one sex over the other (Romans 2:11). However, in 1 Peter 3:4, women get a little extra admonition of the importance of a “…meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price.”

Missing Beauty

Today’s Christian women probably struggle the most following this passage of scripture, because the world system is leading women farther away from Biblical instruction. We are being taught that The Bible is outdated and not relevant to our 21st Century ways of doing things.

We have become so bombarded with the importance of the outward appearance that we are neglecting our inner well-being, even willing to try dangerous fad diets as long as we achieve the goal of making our outer appearance more appealing.

Real Inner Beauty

I’m not suggesting that our outer appearance be neglected. I am simply suggesting we should not lose sight of the things that please God. Beauty truly radiates from the inside out. Time and time again I have attended funeral services where old men have stood and testified about their wives that have passed on. Each one testified to how kind, loving, caring his wife was. I do not recall a one testifying to her outward appearance.

Other people who eulogized their services always spoke of their characters, not their looks. We need to keep “inner beauty” as our primary focus. This takes an intentional effort on our behalf. The Word of God is very clear that our outward appearance will in fact fade (Proverbs 31:30).

Lasting Beauty

Just recently I came to a place in my life where I had to decide which kind of woman I wanted to emulate. Do I want to be that grumpy old woman who gossips and points out all the wrong in others as well as the negatives around the world? Or do I want to emulate the sweet, old lady that my children and husband will call “blessed” as mentioned in Proverbs 31?

Do I want to be the kind of woman who sets out each and every day to walk in the ways of the Lord, following after the Spirit? “For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.” (Romans 8:5).

Balancing Beauty

We women of the 21st Century have a difficult line to walk, but it can be balanced with the help of The Holy Spirit. Our inner beauty has to be worked on with just as much intention as we place on our outward appearance. Actually, I would suggest even the more-so on our inner being. For it is our inward person that will live on forever. “…though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.” (2 Corinthians 4:16).
