1. Get brighter skin with organic Lemon Sea-salt body scrub

Salt Scrub

Bright skin is something that every fashionable girl desires. So, this DIY sea-salt scrub recipe is the perfect solution for any girl looking to brighten her skin.

That being said, the organic lemons in this scrub recipe are a natural way to brighten your skin and avoid chemical based commercial sea-salt scrubs. At that, this awesome DIY comes from the awesome folks at Bittersweet Walnut Grove.com:

Items for Lemon Sea-Salt Scrub:

Body scrub label

8.5 x 11 inch White Card Stock

4 oz Mason Jars (or other air tight containers)

1 1/4 cup organic sea-salt

1 organic lemon

2 tbsp organic virgin pressed olive oil

Scissors | 2.5 in circle punch (optional)

  • 1. In a small bowl mix the olive oil and sea salt together. (Once the salt is coated by the oil, the lemon can’t dissolve it!)
  • 2. Zest the lemon rind until only white it remaining on the outside of the lemon. Add the zest to the salt and oil mixture.
  • 3. Roll the lemon firmly on a cutting board to burst the juice capsules. Cut the lemon in half and squeeze over the mixture. Use a fork or spatula to blend and mash creating a body scrub.
  • 4. Print the Summer Thyme Mason Jar Labels onto white card stock. Cut labels from printed card stock or punch out. Place label inside lid and seal.
  • 5. Store scrub in an air tight container for up to one month.  Yields 2 – 4 oz mason jars (Bittersweetwalnutgrove.com, 2018).

2. Keep your skin tight with Rose Sea-salt body scrub

Salt Scrub

Firm, supple skin is a beauty standard that every girl strives for. By using this fantastic DIY sea-salt scrub, your skin will feel rejuvenated and tight.

The high levels of vitamin A in rose oils can boost skin-cell turnover and minimize the look of wrinkles, while vitamin C can help even out skin tone (Prevention, 2018).

As a bonus, the delightful scent of roses will linger on your skin. Nice! That being said, this awesome DIY comes from the awesome folks at Oh So Pretty.com (No exact measurements provided by source):

3. Reduce redness with Vanilla & Pumpkin Spice Sea-salt scrub

Salt Scrub

We all experience skin irritants once in awhile. So, to naturally soothe skin, this great DIY sea-salt scrub contains vanilla. Vanilla extract has anti-inflammatory properties, which can help to soothe and calm irritated skin. As well as, anti-oxidants help to protect against free radical damage and the effects of environmental stresses on the skin (Ecology Skincare, 2018).

Vanilla also contains B vitamins, including niacin, thiamine, riboflavin, vitamin B6, and pantothenic acid. All of which help to maintain healthy looking skin (Ecology Skincare, 2018).

Meanwhile, Pumpkin is great for healing the skin from problems caused by irritants. Pumpkin is packed with fruit enzymes and alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs), which increase cell turnover, to brighten and smooth the skin (Dermal Institute, 2018).
