3 Ways Smart Girls Take Advice | AWAYION BEAUTY
Hi, Friends!
Have you ever wondered why some people are easily duped by bad advice?
Or, have you been a victim of bad advice?
If so, do you wish you could have better discernment?
In this post, discover 3 ways smart girls take advice. And you can learn the right way (if you do not already know… wink, wink*). So, you can avoid potential disaster.
Super Awesome Side Note: Before we start, understand we will not claim contested truths. And we will refrain from falling into the trap of “teaching man-made ideas as commands from the Creator.”
Out of respect for believers, we will simply acknowledge the multiplicity of views on this subject (the keyword is “acknowledge” and not agree). That said, this is a non-exhaustive list. So use this list to do further research.
Super Psst… the big secret I’ve been hinting around on social media for a few months now – is revealed… (it’s why I have been MIA for a bit…). Read on after this post for the juicy details.
*Disclaimer: These tips could be helpful. Especially if you are a believer in Christ. Always do further research. The sources for this or any post do not equal a full endorsement of any ministry or evangelist’s personal views by Awayion.com.***
TL:DR A quick post glance:
- Pray
- Check Motives
- Seek Wisdom
Sound tantalizing ladies? Okay, let’s start!
1. Pray
For starters, smart girls pray before they take advice — when seeking advice on tough matters. They know it’s unwise to act at once upon advice from others. Even from a well-meaning source. They still seek first the approval of our Creator (YHWH).
Sapphira, the wife of Ananias, didn’t pray first. And the result of her choice was grim. Sapphira agreed to her husband, Ananias’ scheme — and lied of the profit from their sale their field. She took his advice and dropped dead. Because of lying to Peter. Tough, eh?
So, you must be a smart girl and seek our Creator first — on any advice you receive from others. Our Heavenly Father is all-knowing, mankind is not.

2. Check Motives
Smart girls always check the motives of the person giving advice. These girls can discern the motives of others. Which helps them to find if the advice received is legit. Now, this is not you being paranoid, this is discernment.
Now, Absalom, King David’s son, didn’t check the motives of his adviser, Ahithophel. This was because this adviser had given his father expert advice in the past. Yet, this adviser gave foolish advice to Absalom.
Ahithophel’s motive was to help Absalom usurp King David’s rule over Israel. So, he advised Absalom to gain the support of Israel by having sex with his father’s concubines. Sex on the palace roof, so everyone could see it. Yes, ladies, that happened for real. Now, would you consider that wise advice to take? Or even an excellent motive?
(Psst… check out the sources for this post below)
Bathsheba, King David’s wife, knew the motives of Nathan the prophet were pure. This was because Nathan repeated the vow David made to her of making her son Solomon king.
So, when Nathan gave her a strategy for Solomon to become King. Bathsheba took his advice. And her son Solomon became the ruler over Israel, after King David’s reign ended. If she had not taken Nathan’s advice, she may have died in the general clean-up after Adonijah’s accession (Women In The Bible, 2018).
Anyway, be a smart girl and always check the true motives of others — before you take their advice.

3. Seek Wisdom
Smart girls know how to seek wisdom from The Living Word — to see if the advice they receive is legit.
Let’s look at Sapphira, the wife of Ananias, again. Before taking her husband’s terrible advice, she should have refreshed her memory of the 9th Commandment. That says our Creator forbids lying. If she did this, she may have escaped such a terrible end.
So, ladies, be smart and seek The Living Word for wisdom before you take anyone’s advice on tough matters.
