Having faith means you are not totally drowning in doubt and unbelief. By the way, doubt is opposite of having faith.
Having faith is believing that our Heavenly Father hears your petition and knowing He will answer. This is how you save yourself from drowning in a sea of doubt and unanswered prayer. Successful prayer comes from having faith.

2. Ask in Faith Via Your Prayers
Asking by faith in prayer — is acting on your faith. You must ask our Creator (YHWH) for what you need. While believing you are not talking to yourself as you pray.
You know your Heavenly Father is present in your conversation with Him, when you ask in faith.

3. Believe by Faith As You Pray
You must believe by faith the Creator of all things is assisting you as you make your request. At that, you can crush doubt, when you believe by faith.

4. Receive by Faith After You Pray
You must receive an answer by faith. Unanswered prayer can occur after you pray, if you do not receive by faith.
To keep this from happening, you are to believe and receive by faith the answer to your prayer. Which means you act like you have your request already.
A key to having successful prayers is receiving your desired answer by faith.

5. Live by Faith
Your prayer life becomes a supernatural phenomenon if you live by faith. You can’t fake this action. You must do it for real. This means you cannot speak negative about what you have petitioned in prayer. You must follow the steps above without compromise.
