TL:DR A quick post glance:

  1. So our Creator said what again…
  2. Valentine’s Day is as simple as the birds and the bees
  3. Be drunk with love… really do it…

Sound juicy? Okay, Ladies. Let’s start.

1. So our Creator said what again…

It is crucial for every girl to comprehend the essence of celebrating Valentine’s Day while staying true to her faith.

To grasp the true meaning behind celebrating Valentine’s Day, let’s transport ourselves to the very beginning of the biblical existence of our world. This, my friends, is where the essence of celebrating Valentine’s Day begins. Via our Creator was everything created which is in Heaven and in The Earth: everything that is seen and everything that is unseen, whether Thrones or Dominions or Principalities or Rulers; everything has been created by his hand and in him. Re-read the last sentence and specifically look for the word “everything.” Everything means all things. Period. Even Valentine’s Day. (Psst… He created the Day (& Night) and you happen to call this particular day “Valentine’s Day”)

That being said, in the Garden of Eden, our benevolent Creator spoke to Adam and Eve about multiplying. In that moment, they felt a profound connection, a deep understanding that they were meant to “know” and cherish one another. In simpler terms, our Creator told Adam and Eve to celebrate their love by populating the earth. Period. Now what is modern Valentine’s Day for? You guessed it, celebrating love between men and women and populating the earth. Yes, that simple.

Now that we have our brief biblical history lesson on creation and the origins of “love & fruitfulness” — let’s delve into the unadulterated reality behind celebrating Valentine’s Day.

2. Valentine’s Day is as simple as the birds and the bees

Valentine's

The evolution of Valentine’s Day parallels that of Santa Claus, starting with legends about obscure saints that transformed over time. It became a popular and commercialized holiday in Victorian England, thanks to greeting cards, flowers, and sweets, and quickly spread to the United States.

The origins of Valentine’s Day as a celebration of romantic love are uncertain. It is speculated that when Pope Gelasius I abolished the Roman pagan festival Lupercalia on February 15th in the 5th century, and it somehow merged into Valentine’s Day. The first known mention of “Volantynys day” as a romantic celebration appears in a poem by Geoffrey Chaucer in the 14th century. Since then, people have celebrated Valentine’s Day as a day of love and affection.

Investigative journalist and podcaster Tore Maras from the ToreSays show states that historically, people considered the month of February as a time for conception to ensure that babies would be born during the winter after the harvest season. This timing allowed mothers to have more time available for caring for their children. Genius, eh?

As already stated in this post, our Creator commanded humanity to be fruitful and multiply. Since that time, mankind has created a plethora of vibrant festivals, like Valentine’s Day, that have sprung forth from this simple command. The joy and excitement that permeate these festivities are a testament to the enduring impact of our Creator’s words.

That being said, are you witnessing a peculiar sight of pagan celebrations on Valentine’s Day, where a multitude of women frolics through a city park, their bodies exposed to the elements? In this unusual spectacle, men playfully swat these women, invoking an ancient belief that it will aid in their quest for pregnancy. No. You do not see that. You do see men spending money on women so they can be… um… “fruitful.” Ahem.

Now, let’s delve into the realm of Valentine’s Day symbolism, where whispers of its alleged pagan origins linger in the air. Please know that meaning can be woven from even the finest specks of dust. Symbols have a multitudes of meanings that change throughout time. That being said, take a moment to turn your attention to Colossians 1:16, allowing its wisdom to envelop you as you navigate the intricate world of symbolism.

3. Be drunk with love… really do it…

Valentine'sReligious and societal campaigns discouraging the celebration of Valentine’s Day are widespread, captivating the senses with their fervor. The air is filled with passionate debates, as voices rise and fall, their words echoing through crowded spaces. The scent of determination lingers, mingling with the aroma of uncertainty.

In this atmosphere, one can’t help but ponder the motivation behind these campaigns. Why do some people advocate for withholding displays of love on Valentine’s Day? Commercialism? What if the man cultivates his own rich, velvety chocolate and vibrant, fragrant flowers, and then lovingly presents them to his lady for a bountiful harvest of love and joy? Is he being pagan? Or is he trying to be fruitful and multiply?

When Valentine’s celebrations come into play, they assist mankind in fulfilling our Creator’s command to repopulate the earth, right? The scent of fragrant roses fills the air as couples walk hand in hand, their laughter echoing through the streets. The sight of vibrant red heart-shaped decorations adorning shops and homes creates a joyful atmosphere. The sound of romantic melodies drifts from cafes and restaurants, mingling with the excited chatter of lovers. The feeling of love and connection fills the hearts of people, reminding them of their duty to continue the cycle of life. It’s a question that demands introspection, urging us to contemplate seriously the intricate dynamics at play.

In the face of religious and societal campaigns discouraging the celebration of Valentine’s Day because of palimpsests, let us follow the guidance of our Creator as stated in His Word. Amidst the whispers of dissent and the vibrant clash of differing opinions, we can find solace in His Word. With each word we read, our fingertips trace the wisdom engraved on the delicate pages, feeling the weight of divine guidance upon our hearts.
