Feeling Defeated? Stop that — Do this | AWAYION BEAUTY

Hi, Friends!

Are you feeling defeated? Like you started a round with a heavyweight boxer — full of confidence that you could win — only to kiss the mat within 5 seconds?

Ouch…

(Psst… most girls are not in boxing rings, but let’s roll with this analogy, okay?)

If you are experiencing this level of defeat, you may not change the outcome — but you can change your feelings of defeat.

How can you start?

In this post, discover how to stop feeling defeated. Because every girl in Christ should successfully overcome feelings of defeat.

Super Psst… the big secret I’ve been hinting around on social media for a year now is revealed… (it’s why I have been MIA for a bit…). Read on after this post for the juicy details.

*Disclaimer: These tips could be helpful. Especially if you are a believer in Christ. Always do further research. The sources for this or any post do not equal a full endorsement of any ministry or evangelist’s personal views by Awayion.com.***

TL: DR A quick post glance:

  1. Get rid of fear
  2. Self-worth recall
  3. Use new wisdom

Sound juicy? Okay, Ladies. Let’s start!

1. Get rid of fear – to stop feeling defeated

feeling defeated

For starters, you must halt feelings of fear. Fear is toxic to your mind and body. Your health could become compromised when you experience too much of this emotion. Researchers say fear attacks your body’s nervous system.

That said, strong feelings of fear can emerge when you experience defeat. Leading to repeated irrational thoughts of more defeat. Those thoughts could become a self-fulling prophecy, if you dwell on them too long.

So, how can you fix this problem?

You can start following the actions of someone who overcame fear, such as Queen Esther when her people “appeared defeated.” Instead of allowing fear (and repeated irrational thoughts of defeat) to overtake her — Queen Esther faced the Persian King to save her people from doom — and she was successful. Why is that so great? Well, if you are unfamiliar with Esther’s story, in a nutshell her fearless actions could have sent her to Heaven (AKA got her killed by the Persian King) — get it?

Ladies, we must halt fearful emotions from arising after a defeat.

2. Self-worth recall

Realizing your self-worth can help you overcome feeling defeated. Everyone experiences a defeat in their lives. The successful living beings remind themselves of who they are instead of allowing feelings of defeat to define their worth.

That said, knowing your self-worth is crucial to overcoming feelings of defeat. So, how can you do this — and defeat a whirlwind of spiritual warfare — from your ancient adversary and his minions? Well, you must remind yourself of who your Creator is and what He says about you.

3. Use new wisdom

Sometimes feelings of defeat can propel you to your greatest testimony. How so, you ask? Well, the wisdom you gain from your defeat — if used properly — could lead you to a dynamic testimony. A testimony others could use to overcome trials in their lives.

That said, you will face tough trials, if you are living according our Heavenly Father’s Word. And using your new wisdom of how you halted feelings of defeat — can help you overcome future trials and tribulations quicker and successfully.

For example, Ruth lost her first husband. And she had feelings of defeat. The life of a widow during that epoch was an actual struggle. Yet, instead of wallowing in her feelings of defeat, she listened to the wisdom of her mother-in-law. And adorned herself and got her kinsman redeemer to marry her (AKA she found her Boaz, literally).

That said, ladies, please take Ruth’s testimony to heart and let it help you overcome your feelings of defeat.
