Victim of psychological projection? Fix that — Try this | AWAYION BEAUTY

Hi, Friends!

Ever disliked someone only to become convinced the person had a vendetta against you?

Awful thought, huh?

If you are experiencing this, then you could be a victim of psychological projection.

So what can you do?

In this post, discover what is psychological projection and how to overcome. Because every girl in Christ can conquer the battlefield of the mind.

Super Awesome Side Note: Before we start, understand we will not claim contested truths. And we will refrain from falling into the trap of “teaching man-made ideas as commands from the Creator.”

Out of respect for believers, we will simply acknowledge the multiplicity of views on this subject (the keyword is “acknowledge” and not agree). That said, this is a non-exhaustive list. So use this list to do further research.

READ THIS SLOWLY: This topic addresses theories in psychology and can be perceived as promotion of humanism – that is not the intent. The point is for you to recognize demonic activity disguised as a psychological term.

Super Psst… the big secret I’ve been hinting around on social media for a few months now – is revealed… (it’s why I have been MIA for a bit…). Read on after this post for the juicy details.

*Disclaimer: These tips could be helpful. Especially if you are a believer in Christ. Always do further research. The sources for this or any post do not equal a full endorsement of any ministry or evangelist’s personal views by Awayion.com.***

Sound juicy? Okay, Ladies. Let’s start!

1. Psychological projection is… ?

psychological projection

According to Everyday Health.com, psychological projection is a defense mechanism people subconsciously use to cope with hard feelings or emotions. Psychological projection involves projecting undesirable feelings or emotions onto someone else, rather than admitting to, or dealing with, the unwanted feelings (Psychological Projection: Dealing With Undesirable Emotions | Everyday Health, 2021).

From a non-secular viewpoint, psychological projection (or narcissistic projection) reeks of demonic activity. That said, the Living Word speaks to the reality of demonic activity. Sudden undesirable feelings or emotions can indicate demonic activity. Evil spirits can possess people, thus causing them to be victims of psychological projection. But don’t take my word for it — lets look at what The Word says about supernatural beings interacting with mankind.

Scripture speaks repeatedly of angels moving about unseen (Daniel 10:1-21). Sometimes, these angels interact with living people. Evil spirits, or demons, can actually possess people, dwelling within them and controlling them (see Mark 5:1-20, for example). The four Gospels and the Book of Acts record several instances of demon possession and of good angels appearing to and aiding believers. Angels, both good and bad, can cause supernatural phenomena to occur (Job 1–2Revelation 7:18:515:1;16) (Is there activity of demonic spirits in the world today? | GotQuestions.org, 2021).

Now we have our definition of psychological projection — let’s explore Yeshua’s tactics and overcoming.

2. Yeshua’s Tactics

Let’s look at an incident in the Living Word where Messiah Yeshua (aka Jesus Christ of Nazareth) dealt with victims of psychological projection.

The scribes were jealous of Jesus’ rising fame. It was impossible for them to admit that His teaching and healing were marvelous things, as this admission would ratify His higher standing in relationship to them. So, they needed to bring Him down (Narcissistic Projection — Part 2, An Example, 2021).

Rather than attacking Messiah Yeshua’s results, they attacked the source of those results. This is a common practice of narcissists, who will discount others’ success by suggesting they had an “unfair” influence, or cheated, or something similar. (Narcissistic Projection — Part 2, An Example, 2021).

…The scribes who came down from Jerusalem were saying, “He (Jesus) is possessed by Beelzebul,” and “He casts out the demons by the ruler of the demons.” – the scribes (Mark 3:22)

That said, and consistent with those who judge others, the scribes pinpointed the terrible issue which they themselves had. This is a prime example of engaging in psychological projection. At that, Messiah Yeshua already identified the scribes as being under Satan’s influence — when He said to them:

You are of your father the devil, and you want to do the desires of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth because there is no truth in him. Whenever he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own nature, for he is a liar and the father of lies. – Messiah Yeshua (John 8:44)

Our Messiah did not fiercely defend Himself against the scribes’ outrageous claims. He knew just how wrong they were, but simply and calmly pointed out the logical fallacy of their statement. (Narcissistic Projection — Part 2, An Example, 2021).

As stated in our non-secular definition of psychological projection, those who are victims are under demonic influence. In our incident above, our Messiah quickly identified the scribes’ projection problem. And because they were not open to deliverance, He rebuked them.

So be open to deliverance if you are a victim of psychological projection. So you can avoid a stong rebuke from our Messiah.

3. How to overcome

psychological projection

Start your journey to overcoming by dealing with offences. I know that is tough these days. But you can overcome from being a victim of psychological projection.

Discover the root of bitterness that is causing you to be a victim of psychological projection. Begin by examining the negative relationships in your life. Who don’t you get along with at work or in your family? Do you feel as though someone is out to get you? Try to find where the animosity began (Psychological Projection: Dealing With Undesirable Emotions | Everyday Health, 2021).

That said, holding on to bitterness reeks of a demonic stronghold. A gnarly stronghold that can destroy your life. At that, you must get rid of bitterness (aka unforgiveness) via prayer. Remember, The Father forgave you, so you must forgive others. If you fail, our Creator will not forgive you. Ouch!

At that, try to face problems and disputes head on rather than becoming defensive. Remember Yeshua’s tactic in the section above. Also, consider researching scriptures about deliverance. Or seek a deliverance minister — to help overcome demonic activity.
