TL:DR A quick post glance:
- Love of Self
- Love of Money
- Love of Pleasure
Sound interesting ladies? Okay, let’s start!
1. Love of Self
For starters, the extreme love of self is a dangerous form of narcissism. The greatest narcissists in history ruin their lives, and the lives of others. The lives of narcissists always come to a terrible end.
This is because our Heavenly Father (YHWH) judges sins in powerful ways. Although judgment may appear to be slow, He judges evil harshly (New Life Application, 2015).
For example, a true textbook narcissist (AKA lover of self) was Queen Jezebel. She ruled Israel for thirty years. Her love of self transformed her into a greedy, murderous, evil woman.
As with all who defy our Heavenly Father, Jezebel’s end was gruesome. Her servants threw her out of a window. Then she was trampled by the horses’ hooves and consumed by dogs.
With that said, extreme love of self will ruin you for a lifetime — and for eternity. The extreme love of self was one of many downfalls of Queen Jezebel, which brought her life to ruin.
Super Awesome Side Note: This is not to be confused with our Creator’s command to “love thy neighbor as thy self.” Research that matter please.

2. Love of Money
The love of money will ruin your life forever. Some famous people in antiquity & modernity destroyed their lives. And ruin others — because of greed.
If would shock you if you knew how many people died, while holding the tangible money you have in your pocket now. They brought their lives to ruin because they will do evil — for wealth.
For example, a lover of money found in antiquity is Judas Iscariot. He is one of Christ Jesus of Nazareth’s (AKA Yeshua Ha’Mashiach) original 12 disciples. Judas was a thief and trusted disciple. He betrayed Jesus Christ of Nazareth for “thirty silver coins”. Judas’ act of betrayal was because of his love of money. And this ‘love’ led to his ruin.
Luke (the physician and one of Yeshua Ha’Mashiach’s original 12 disciples) reports, “With the reward he got for his wickedness, Judas bought a field; there he fell headlong, his body burst open and all his intestines spilled out. Everyone in Jerusalem heard about this, so they called that field in their language Akeldama, that is, Field of Blood.” (GotQuestions.org, 2018).
With that said, the love of money will ruin you for a lifetime.

3. Love of Pleasure
The love of pleasure will ruin your life forever. Some people only live for their next thrill. They are prime examples of people who have a love of pleasure.
For example, a historical lover of pleasure is King Solomon. He loved pleasure so much that he amassed 1,000 wives and concubines.
Solomon’s taking of many wives and concubines directly violated God’s Word. Just as God (YHWH) had predicted, “As Solomon grew old, his wives turned his heart after other gods, and his heart was not fully devoted to the LORD his God” (1 Kings 11:4). To please his wives, Solomon even got involved in sacrificing to Milcom (or Molech), a god that required “detestable” acts to be performed (1 Kings 11:7-8). (GotQuestions.org, 2018).
Solomon’s love of pleasure destroyed his life and the future of his kingdom. Our Heavenly Father punished him for this sin by raising up enemies to come against Solomon. As well as, allowing evil king to take the throne after Solomon’s reign ended.
With that said, the love of pleasure will ruin you for a lifetime.
Super Awesome Side Note: Do you realize that the insatiable love of pleasure is one of the reasons 2/3rds of the population will meet their demise, in the tribulation. They are too busy being entertained to realize they are consistently being deceived.
